In 1982, Calgary firefighter Jonathan Fesik opened the doors to a
cleaning and repair facility specializing in developing and supporting
care and maintenance programs for structural, industrial, and fire
fighting applications.
After 20 years of service, in 2002 we incorporated as The F.I.R.M. (Fire
Industry Repair and Maintenance) and expanded our scope of services
to include a state of the art facility specializing in personal protective
gear. This new facility is equipped to inspect, clean, and repair
personal safety gear for structural, wildland, industrial and aviation fire
fighting applications.
The F.I.R.M., managed by Jonathan Fesik, a retired fire captain with
30 years of active firefighter service in the City of Calgary, understands
the specific needs and importance of caring for and maintaining the
equipment that protects fire fighters each day. In its effort to support
on going care and maintenance programs, the F.I.R.M. has employed
advanced technology to provide accurate tracking of safety equipment
inventory and fully complies with NFPA 1851's tracking requirements.
All cleaning, repair, and maintenance preformed is to current standards
established by NFPA 1851 revisions in 2008.
The F.I.R.M.'s mission is to help you comply with your care and maintenance programs economically,
efficiently, and responsibly. Our driving force is to remember that everyday we take care of the equipment
that protects you, so you can go on protecting us.
